Last night I was hanging out with some friends and Blake. Just kidding, Blake is one of my friends too. We were in this interesting room with a lot of dead animals on the wall, including Jonathan’s version of an owl, and were having some interesting conversations. Lauren and Blake were talking about their hatred, yet fascination with war movies or something like that; I really wasn’t paying much attention, and Neil and Jonathan were explaining to me what “a goat” or something another meant. Amy must have been staring at the wall. Anyway, after I received my education from Neil and Jonathan, we focused our attention to Blake’s distinctive voice. Here’s what I heard:

war moviesIt looks as though we were graced with another nonsensical nugget of truth. While this statement didn’t make sense to me at the time, the more I look at it, the more I see how it could make sense. Perhaps this just means that I’ve been around Blake too much, but let me explain. It is possible that Blake meant that he has seen all war movies so he doesn’t watch them anymore because he’s already seen them. Since this is Blake we’re talking about though, that’s probably not the case.

Before I go, I will leave you with this other Blake quote, probably referring to a war movie he has seen, but never watched, that I had no way of putting into visual form: “I don’t wanna say I liked the movie, but last time I saw it, I liked the movie.”

Badabing badaboom!

Haha geez. Not quite a witticism. I was telling my buddy Lauren how war movies aren’t documentaries, just dramas that filmmakers cash in on for their vicious images. They are horrible forms of entertainment and they are hardly educational. If you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. I came to this conclusion after seeing

Oops clicked submit.

I came to this conclusion after seeing the move, “The Deer Hunter” which I had to turn off during the Russian Roulette scene. I haven’t watched another damn war since.

Oh Blake, what would my life be without you? A lot duller, I can say that!
