I have some sad news I regret to announce this year. I will not be doing Christmas cards this Christmas. The creative tank is running on E. I have Christmas carder’s block. I have other projects going on that are demanding on the brain and the hard drive. I’m not into sending out generic cards either. It wouldn’t mean anything. So this year I’m taking a break. If you don’t receive a little piece of glossy card stock joy from me this year, please don’t be offended. Just accept the fact that you’re friends with an “artist” who makes decisions based way too much on feelings and whose moods can change on a dime. It’s part of the creative process and you must deal with it … or something like that.
Anyway, I don’t want to leave you empty handed. I feel sort of bad about that. So. I’m going to show you the birthday card I made for my dad last September and then make an announcement at the end. For this card, I started thinking about how funny my dad’s face would look on a bunch of different random things. He’s always had a mustache so that makes it cooler to put his face on things because then the things get mustaches. I did him the honor of showing him what he would look like as:
And then, because at this point I figured he would think I was weird, I demonstrated that we were just:
The PDFs to show you the card in its entirety are too large to upload right now and I don’t feel like resizing and all that mess, but you get the gist of the card. It was strange, but one of a kind. You’re not going to find that card in Hallmark. This leads me to the little “announcement” or whatever. I’m having a contest right here and right now. Maybe you wish that you could me made into something cool … like a pencil. Ok, maybe pencil’s not the best example … maybe a honey badger. Yeah. Or something crazy. I dunno. Or maybe you want to be made into a cartoon or something. The first 3 people to comment on this blog post telling me that they want me to do something weird with their face will get exactly just that … something weird done with their face. Since there’s probably only like 3 of you reading this, your chances of winning are pretty high. LET THE CONTEST BEGIN!!

You really make it seem really easy along with your presentation however I find this topic to be actually something that I think I might never understand. It sort of feels too complicated and very extensive for me. I’m having a look ahead in your next put up, I’ll try to get the grasp of it!
