Hard Commands, Indeed.

This morning, I was going through a stack of  books someone gave me and I dropped one on my toes. I yelled and writhed around in pain for a while because for some reason when you hurt your toes, it temporarily makes you feel like you want to die. Then I picked up the book and read the title.

Was that supposed to be some kind of joke, God? A hard book with “hard commands” in the title happened to hit me very hard in the toes. I’d laugh if I wasn’t in so much pain.
