Almost all day, Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” has been playing in my mind because ohhhh I’m halfway there! Day 5 is over and I’m super relaxed because I just finished some yoga. Since it is so doggone cold, all of the stretching helped to get my blood flowing and helped my toes to not be numb. I allowed myself my “cheat” this evening, which is pomegranate seeds because they are mostly juice anyway. I had some leftover berry juice and green tea tonight along with the pomegranate, however, I wasn’t even able to eat half of the pomegranate, so I have some for tomorrow or the next day, perhaps. Oh, and a cool/gross thing that happened – I drank some carrot/apple/beet juice this morning, which was very red. Later on my pee was sort of red. It was a good thing that I remembered the beet juice because I would have panicked otherwise. Oh and carrot/apple/beet juice tastes sort of salty even though salt isn’t added. I didn’t care for it that much. But it gave me red pee, so I can’t complain that much, right?

Today was fairly easy to get through. Brother Michael has been watching food documentaries on Netflix to stay focused. I must say, it does make it easier when you watch programs where everyone is miserable and dying because they aren’t eating healthy like you are. Ha!

Hopefully I won’t hit a wall and day 6 will be even easier, even though it was brought to my attention that tomorrow is Tuesday, which means that it is half off burger night at Pawley’s Front Porch. It is also the only Tuesday that I will have available for a while to partake in that glorious deal. I guess I should get back to my documentaries that talk about how much artery blockage that burger will cause, eh?

Oh, and just for the fun and 80s glory:
