I can’t believe it’s Friday again. Without further adieu, I present to you the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Ninja Turtles

I was obsessed with TMNT. The picture above is my brother and me at Christmas after we got our turtle gear. Mike had the PJs (he always got cooler stuff) as well to make himself look more legit. I was in love with Michelangelo and his nunchucks. “Cowabunga!” was also one of my favorite phrases. My bro preferred Raphael. I think it was because he was the color red. I’m not sure. All I know is, had a Ninja Turtle asked me to marry him back then, I would have said, “yes.” 🙂

Remember the cartoon? Here’s one of the opening themes.

I also wanted to embed someone playing through part of the video game for NES, but the embed ability was removed, so here’s the link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yV367JJNdI

This made me want to play the game, which I have. If I can get it to work, I might just try to find some time this weekend to play a little. Watching the video made me miss it pretty bad. Those were the days!

Ahhh, awesome! I’m going to have to start watching Nickelodeon again. I can’t wait for Salute Your Shorts as well 🙂

I LOOOOVED the ninja turtles too! You guys look great. Michelangelo was always my favorite as well. He seemed to be the funny, sweet one 🙂

On a side note, my Aunt took me to see the real live action TMNT movie and I repeated a bad word in it and got in big trouble….It was the first time I ever said a bad word. Oh, by “big trouble” I mean my mom very sweetly said “uh, oh that’s not a very nice word to say Amy” and I cried a lot. I was a sensitive child I guess.

    Thanks for taking me back!!

P.S. Im sorta jealous of Micheal’s PJs I would have loved to have those. I did have batman ones though so I should be grateful for that.

hahaha, We watched all those movies too. I vaguely remember the bad word. It was Raphael who said it, right? Anyway, I got in trouble all the time for my speech. I’m surprised my mouth didn’t get washed out with soap. And I’m jealous; I didn’t even get Batman PJs.
