One thing that I love to do is hang around creative people who love art. It’s a great way to stretch your mind a little bit and possibly do and think of things that you normally wouldn’t. Amy is one of my friends who seems to feel the same way, so we set aside a day and deemed it “Art Day” to create and play around with forms of creative expression. We started early (10:00) in the morning with some pancakes and painting. We also tried some CitraSolv art similar to this. It didn’t work out so hot. Well, the photo transfer parts didn’t, anyway. They make it look so easy in all those tutorials! We worked well into the evening trying out various techniques and projects. Stephen came over that evening as we were breaking out the Frank Sinatra on the record player and I was readying my latest melted crayon art piece. We helped him create a wax heart out of melted crayon shavings for his fiance, Carrie. It was a fun day, one that I wish would have had more hours. Maybe one day we’ll be able to have an Art Week!
